The Happiness Project - Make 2017 Your Year of Happiness!

Reboot and refresh your thinking! Drive out the negativity, blues, and blahs by making small monthly adjustments to your life. Together we will “experiment” with our own happiness through 2017, following the framework of the New York Times Best Seller “The Happiness Project” by Gretchen Rubin.

What Can You Expect?

  • Gain a deeper understanding of the drivers of happiness and insight into the fast growing field of Positive Psychology.
  • Learn skills and techniques that can help you be your most natural optimistic and happy self.
  • Build friendships with like-minded individuals in our local community who want to be their very best selves 365 days a year.
  • Learn how to approach others in your life that are confused (even put off) by your new sense of positivity, joy and balance.
  • FUN! Together we will play with one monthly experiment with happiness.
  • Wine, of course!

This is a year-long commitment to YOU and your fellow participants. If you are yoga instructor, this course counts as 20 CE hours. Workshop gatherings will take place the 3rd Friday of every month from 6:00-7:15PM.

Many traditional cultures revere the moon as a manifestation of the divine feminine force in nature. This energy also resides within each of us and is this lunar energy is characterized as cool, receptive, and inwardly focused. The full moon is a time of swelling tides, heightened emotions, and completion of tasks and intentions.
 
Scheduled on the night of the full moon, our class will begin with a silent meditation walk in Southgate Park, followed by cool, grounding asanas and plenty of flowing moon salutations.  This class will be outdoors, under the full moonlight. Please bring layers of clothing, a yoga mat, and citronella spray. 
 
Three pricing options are available, so you can customize your summer full moon experience!

Class kicks off with board safety, followed by a 60 minute yoga class ... ever taken savasana on the lake gazing at the clouds? Join us at the Turkeyfoot Lake Beach in the Portage Lakes State Park. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before class.

Yoga experience is encouraged for all SUP classes.

Other Important Details:
• Classes are limited and will sell out.
• Students must register & pay at least 48 hours in advance to guarantee your spot.
• Dress in yoga clothing or a bathing suit.
• Bring a towel with you in case you fall in!
