300 Hour Advanced Teacher Training

Release Yoga's 300-hour Teacher Training Program offers an advanced curriculum that provides you with tremendous flexibility to learn at a pace and payment arrangement that best suits your lifestyle.

Invest In You!

300 Hr Teacher Training Academics

Combined with your 200-hour certification, completion of your 300-hour certificate allows you to register for RYT 500 (Registered Yoga Teacher) status with Yoga Alliance.  Many 500 level RYTs grow their yoga careers teaching advanced courses other schools on a local or international scale, spas, resorts or even create their own studios.   Others choose the 300 path to simply continue their love of learning and the yoga community.

Develop advanced knowledge and ability in the following areas:

  • Asana practice with attention to alignment, rhythm, sequencing, and class structure.
  • Enhanced class themes that include yoga philosophy, subtle energy, music and kirtan.
  • Both gross and subtle anatomy including physical and energetic anatomy, bio-mechanics, and kinesiology.
  • Expanded pranayama techniques and various forms of meditation.
  • Imaginative and effective teaching methodologies for working with special needs students.
  • Developing workshops, intensives and progressive classes.
  • The art and anatomy of offering private lessons.
  • Creative methods to become an effective and dynamic yoga teacher.
  • The business and ethics of yoga, marketing, and branding yourself as a yoga teacher.
  • Supplemental experiences such as reiki, Thai massage, ayurvedic healing arts and sciences.

How Does It Work?
300 Hr Teacher Training Students at Museum

We believe that adult learning takes time.  We also believe that the 300-Hour Advanced Teacher Training should provide you with plenty of freedom and flexibility to dive into rich topics that most interest you. To support your learning goals, 300 level program members receive 36 months of free yoga classes.

You can choose from approximately 100 hours of programming each year to create your personalized 300 experience.   Depending on the pace of your studies and completion of workshops and self-study projects, you can expect the program to take you at least 2.5 years to complete.  Some may choose to finish more quickly (or extend their learning journey) but the free unlimited yoga and payment plan pricing option extend over thirty-six months.

When choosing a 300-program for yourself, consider the advantages of a longer-term learning process. The Release 300-hour program gives you the opportunity to practice and teach what you are learning, internalize and polish your skills over time, all the while remaining engaged with like-minded people.  In addition to workshops and intensives, you will be assisting master teachers in class, and complete independent projects of your choosing.

RYS 300 Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga SchoolThe Release Yoga 300 Hour Advanced Teacher Training Program is registered with Yoga Alliance and exceeds Yoga Alliance guidelines regarding hourly requirements in each study category.

Personalize Your Program!
300 Hr Teacher Training Yoga Practice

Release is well respected for its creative workshops and 200-hour teacher training.  We are honored to now offer a robust roster of advanced level intensives that will allow you to explore assorted styles and dimensions of yoga.  Our approach allows you to attend the sessions that you find most compelling and relevant to your own teaching, students and practice. In other words, you have lots of choices. When you first enroll, you will meet with a E-RYT Mentor to develop a specialized plan that supports your goals as a yoga instructor, and you will continue to meet on an occasional basis throughout the course of your studies. We work hard to make your experience in the 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training Program relevant to your passions and interests and are always open to innovative ideas to make the journey more educational.

We have several focused paths through the program. You can concentrate your studies in the following ways:

  • The Science and Beauty of Movement:  Focuses on anatomy, physiology, kinesiology as it relates to the human body asana experience.
  • Philosophy, History and Ethics:  Deep learning of the philosophical, historical and ethical attributes that may be overshadowed or oversimplified in the modern yoga class.
  • Advanced Certifications:  The program will have opportunities to take advanced training in aerial yoga, restorative, yin and other yoga styles.  Prenatal yoga, pranayama and meditation intensives are just a few other examples that you may choose to personalize your experience.  If Release does not offer a track, you may use up to $500 of your Release tuition towards another Yoga Alliance certified program (at another studio).  Please arrange this with Studio Owner, Pattie Wagner in advance.
